If you live in North America, or probably most parts of Europe as well, you are already aware of how violent the police in the US are. But did you know that it’s so bad that in 2025 there were only 6 days out of the year that the police didn’t kill someone? And keep in mind this is just police, not ICE, who are assaulting, disappearing and now murdering Americans.

But make no mistake, this is by no means a purely American problem. Police violence in places like Canada, Germany and England is also on the rise, and much like in the US, is leading to mass protests and much more outward disdain for law enforcement being normalized.

It’s not all bad news though, tattoos showing disrespect for the institution of policing have also been on the rise. Especially popular is the acronym ACAB – All Cops Are Bastards or originally All Coppers Are Bastards as the saying originated in Ireland and England ( fuck yeah Ireland).

These anti-police tattoos can be done in pretty much any style but outside of script for ACAB or 1312 – the numerical equivalent – some styles we see a lot of are American traditional/old school, black and grey and new school.
